Sharpened in Early Archaic usage, strongly beveled, basally ground, and built so that the blade would sit securely on a handle due to the flat center section of the wide base--that's not a technique Pinetrees normally employed, flattening the base center. This Posey County, Indiana, knapper had "a better idea". The material is classic Harrison County, Indiana hornstone, 1&11/16" plus by 1", with a 5/15" medial ridge--along with the bevel sharpening you know there was once a considerably larger blade. The tip has almost a corkscrew twist, and is very, very thin. Patina, knapping, color, very detail is lifetime guaranteed real. If there is ANNYTHING to mention as 'damage' it the very slight wear to the tip. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s are how I take payment--I do not use paypal--Roy A.
