Found somewhere around the confluence of the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. Under all the patina it's likely the big Etley is a form of Burlington Chert, 3&11/16" by 1&5/8"--a decent width to thickness ratio to the big knife, slightly over 3/8". The tip is intact even if the barbs and a basal corner show ancient wear--wear on the blade edges as well--not damage, simply a knife that was well used. Now--the stain--being in an estate I don't know if the piece was a creek find, the area had a highly mineral soil, or if the knife was found in some sort of shell main--the stain is real, the piece is real, period. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
