Found by Norman Reid in 1951 his inked-on provenance states--Edwards County, Illinois, a deeply auriculate base with 'classic' side notches, basal thinning and basal grinding. The piece was a field find, each face showing a plow ding where thin surface flakes came away. The edge of the point, both faces, stayed pretty well intact. A tiny spot on the bottom of one wing, you see the same "fresh flint" showing--neat piece even if it does have some farm-made damage, definitely easy to contrast the patina. Length is 1&3/4" by 1&3/16". Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
