Nice Pinetree, good grade of Indiana Harrison County Hornstone, and workmanship that's authentic to the last chip. You can pick out what was the center of the hornstone nodule, the crystals in a line of blue on the more deeply sharpened blade edge--in that respect a hornstone nodule is the same as a geode, the quartz crystals forming a sometimes hollow center to the nodule. Length is 2&1/16" by 1&1/16"--possibly an eighth of an inch narrower due to the one anciently snapped barb--having only one barb is about 'par for the course' when it comes to Pinetrees--too many have both barbs snapped. The basal edge is ground. This point, the second barb is almost intact--very slight wear. No apologies, that's the way it was made & used. The piece came from an area collection, but not marked if it was a Swans Landing Pinetree (Harrison County, Indiana)--possibly, but I can't tell you what I don't have confirmation to claim. Again, nice piece. Shipping is $5.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
