A Hornstone with white fossil inclusions Beacon Island--a base so "textbook" you could find its match in Overstreet--. The piece came out of an Owensboro, Kentucky, collection, but it could easily have been found on either side of the Ohio river--Spencer County, Indiana or Daviess County, KY--the finder didn't place any tags on the point (with provenance). The flint is so patinated, though, it's in 'no brainer' status. Length, tip down to the cortex on the base is 2&3/16", width is 1", and barely over 1/4" max thickness. The stem edges are ground--actually heavy grinding for that particular point style. The fossil 'speckling' in the flint gives the piece a bit of added eye appeal. Shipping is $7.00, checks, cash, or M.O>s are the only ways I take payment--sorry, no electronic payments (like paypal)--Roy A.
