A Warrick County, Indiana, Buck Creek point from the Hopewell Period, measures 1&7/8" by 1&3/16"--the only damage is a barb end missing about 1/16". The flint is a chalcedony-type material out of Hancock county, Kentucky, very similar to Indiana Spencer County-found Holland Chert--the chert deposits likely not thirty miles apart, and both ere part of the old coral reefs of the inland sea--that's why they're so similar. This point started longer, note an impact fracture off the side of the tip, a channel flake that came off the tip, required Woodland period salvage work. VERY good patination, 100% authentic. Shipping is $7.00, checks or M.O>s welcomed, but my store does not use paypal--Roy A.
