Very, very few points are found in this high end condition--very few were lost when they still had considerable use-life. Somehow this Lost Lake--or Deep notch, depending on which terminology you prefer, survived--Gibson County, Indiana, area. The flint is Indiana Harrison County Hornstone, a very high grade of Hornstone--3&15.5/16" by 1&3/4", only 5/16" max thickness. The basal edge is ground--at least in the areas where it wasn't 'notched' to fit the handle the flint head had been attached to. The Early archaic hunter made the head fit the handle, not the other way around. There was slight ancient (7500BP) repair on the end of one barb--too, I see very slight wear on the tip (see close up photo)--it's not a sharp tip due to that slight wear. Bevels, serrations, they're excellent--every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is included, no additional costs. I welcome checks or M.O.s, but do NOT use paypal--Roy A.
