I pay the shipping on this S.W. Indiana Adena--the flint gave me a "Where have I seen that before?" until remembering a piece of RED Derby Flint out of Perry County, Indiana--a chunk of 'raw' flint is shown (does not go with the piece) so you can see that A matches B--length is 2&5/8", the contracted stem edges are lightly ground--not quite 1&1/8" wide, 7/16" sort-of-thick on the medial ridge--the form may be somewhat related to the Late Archaic Pickwicks, so an early form of Adena--or a Late-late form of Pickwicks. Interesting note--the basal edge is extra heavily polished, like a chisel on the basal edge (see the close up photo)--interesting that the ancient maker did that, I can't come up with a reason for it, but it's no accident--you'll feel the polish the first time you touch it. Every detail is lifetime (mine) guaranteed authentic. I welcome checks or M.O.s, but do not take paypal--Roy A.
