Nicely made 1&15/16" by 13/16" Beacon Island--at least that's how I'd classify this Late Archaic--Woodland point, but it does have some characteristics of the Motley point types, as well. That bulbous base is pretty indicative of the Beacon Islands, though--no basal edge grinding, not even any dulling--they made it, put the point on a handle, used it--there was little finish-out as the earlier archaic point forms showed (basal edge grinding).
