Purchased from the finder six--eight years back, the creek find out of Union County--Webster County, Kentucky--depending on which creek he was hitting that day (he claimed to have fifty creeks he hunted). The flint is a very patinated McLean County (KY) form of Saint Louis Green--the finder of this Pinetree showed me creeks in the Calhoun, KY, area that were loaded with the flint--loaded with snakes, too, lol. Length is 2&13/16" by 1&7/16". Right where the basal thinning flakes end, both sides, you can see a 'flute' to each face, a flute 'hinge fracture' as well--thickness where those hinge fractures end is 3/*" max thickness...not exactly a 'stack', but close. Hold the point with the tip down, run your thumb over the basal grinding, I can guarantee you'll appreciate the Early archaic craftsmanship, the grinding is that good. If there is anything to be described as damage, it's that one barb has a tiny chip at the end--close up photo will show it. The piece is guaranteed authentic in every detail. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I don't use paypal on my store--Roy A.
