Made from a piece of river gravel chert--or a tan Jasper, 1&5/8", this Wabash River find is out of the Late Paleo Beaver Lake tradition. Sorting through broken points, 'everyday finds' from an elderly mans' estate, the shape is unmistakable--Paleo. The lateral edges and the basal edge each show light grinding--the main face shows a double thinning flake--not necessarily a Beaver Lake trait, but also not a Cumberland-type flute, the face thinning was necessary due to a stack in the hard (and hard to knapp) gravel the hunter used. Note the tip is a graver (or burin), that tiny needle tip. Guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping is $6.00 due to the USPS 'holiday rates', and checks, cash, or M.O.s are the only payment types this store uses--Roy A.
