The point came from Warrick County, Indiana, but putting a 'type name' on it is difficult--it's Early Archaic Culture, but the basal lobes (not exactly the right word for them, is it?) are more squared than a MacCorkle--far more squared. The early culture knapper went to extra trouble to center-notch that base, but in doing that he made it The closest I've come takes me back forty years to the point type we called Rice Lobbed Points--close as I can come--guaranteed authentic.
