Either Indiana or Kentucky, the I.D. tag came off and it's now impossible to say if this was one of the Indiana creek finds from Richard (DuBois County, IN)--or was this a "Tim find" from the Kentucky creeks in Union and Webster County, KY--regardless, it's one thousand percent real, it's made of a patinated hornstone,2&15/16" by slightly over 1&3/8", a 'healthy' 3/8" center thickness (means the blade was once considerably larger), it's bevel sharpened, the tip was converted into a scraping tool (micro edge flakes chipped-away that indicate use), and the blade shows serration and use (the missing barb). Basal grinding is super heavy, and the corners of the Dove base show the fracturing that Red Tully (in his typology book) termed a "Fractured Base Dovetail". Shipping is $6.00. You can pay by check, cash, or M.O., but I do not use paypal--Roy A.
