From either on the Wabash River or a side creek feeding into the river, one of the most stained Graham Cave points I've seen. The only creek I've seen with more staining had coal mine run-off...well, let's not forget that creek where there was a leaking oil well. You get the picture--it (the Graham Cave Point) is deep stained. Maybe white vinegar soaking would clean it, but would you want to?. The chert point is out of Gibson County, Indiana--honestly I couldn't but guess at what chert the Early Archaic Culture point is made from, something like a Burlington Chert, a white chert. That tells you how much stain build-up there is. Length is 2&1/16" by 1", with 1/4" the single thickest spot. The basal edge is well ground, the curved-in (and pointed i the fashion of auricles) basal lobes also ground. If there weren't side notches you would assume the piece was Paleo, hose long flakes from edge to past the centerline of the blade--it's that close to the Clovis points in time. Real, period. Shipping is only $5.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
