A Warrick County, Indiana Hornstone Dovetail that measures 2&1/4" by 1&1/16". Center thickness is 3/8", so the thickness would indicate a much larger blade before the early Archaic period hunter started sharpening (and reducing the size). The side of the tip shows a strong impact fracture, but an intact tip--ancient salvage--looks like below the impact fracture the hunter cut into the side to bake a new cutting blade, too. The piece was found by a now-deceased high school teacher, it's basal ground, strongly patinated, real in every detail. Shipping is $6.00 with checks, cash, or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
