Off the White River, southwest Indiana, patina in basically every crevice of the Waubesa, 2&3/8" by 1&3/8"--thickness is very close to 3/8" in the center. The numbers tell you the blade was considerably larger as first made, sharpened again and again. Wear on the tip in the form of a small flat spot--this was a hafted knife, no excuses, it was used long and hard, it's real. The stem is worth noting, it very thin for such a strong blade--obviously the Woodland era hunter was right, the stem never snapped. Note, too, the flint is a local material--or a river cobble, it's not Burlington--there are bands of color (red) on the hafting area and stem--it may be related to the white form of Indiana Holland Chert (Siberia Chert, named for the small town near where the material is native). Shipping is $5.00, and checks, cash, or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
