Out of a Union/ Jackson County, Illinois, collection, but the material (with that bullseye) sure looks like Missouri Mozarkite--there was no provenance provided in the estate auction, but patina speaks for itself, 100% lifetime guaranteed authentic in every detail. Was the 3&1/4" by 1&3/8" Stilwell sharpened multiple times--the answer is in the incurvate blade edges--yes.. The basal edge has 'modest' edge grinding, Stilwells being much like Kirks in that regard. The blade is a full 3/8" thick--part of that is the chert that was used, part was the skill of the knapper in thinning his preform, and a third part is that there was a whole lot more blade as first made--too thin, it'd break under heavy use. This was a knife, it was made to use--it's real. Shipping is $6.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
