I've logged more miles of beach hunting than I could easily count, found some 'acceptable' Buck Creek points, but have never seen one so thin as this Marion, Indiana, based Buck Creek--caliper reads: length is 2&1/4" by 1&5/16", yet the max thickness is only 3/16". If that thickness number doesn't strike you as unusual, consider that some of the only Woodland Culture points to be that thin are the Jacks Reef and the related Knight Island points--and those were meant to be true 'arrowheads', not dart points. The flint is either Indiana Laurel Chert or something very close to it--the color variations in the flint aren't hornstone--you see the higher iron content more at the tip than on the body of the piece. There is virtually no dulling of the stem edges. A couple olf catalog numbers are on the piece--no way to tell whose those are, though. The piece is lifetime guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping comes with the list price, and checks or M.O>s are the welcomed payment forms. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
