2&1/4" by 1&1/2", and 7/16" max thickness. From a west-central Illinois, collection. Once there was more provenance on the piece, not just the inked-on So.ILL--some pencil writing shows (faded) on a lower corner--can't make it out, though. A nicely beveled Burlington Chert Early Archaic Cobbs knife, strongly patinated--strongly bevel-sharpened, so the knife started life much longer. JUST GREAT PATINA, real in every detail.
