The Dove comes from St. Claire County, Illinois--not perfect, used, sharpened, used and reused. Grade 10 points are grade ten fakes; this worked-until-lost Dovetail is lifetime guaranteed real. The base is something I want to emphasize, simply great workmanship, great basal grinding--hold the point tip-down, run your thumb across the basal edge, you'll understand--some Early Archaic craftsman spent considerable time getting that grinding exactly right. It shows. the pictures show any and all ancient damage--hopefully they also show the character of the piece.
