72388 --Illinois Hornstone Dove, what a base
Price includes the $5 it costs to ship the piece--NICE Dovetail made from Cobden--Illinois Hornstone,2&5/16" by 1&5/16"--and thin at 5/16"--if that isn't 'proportional', what is?. The Dove comes from St. Claire County, Illinois--not perfect, used, sharpened, used and reused. Grade 10 points are grade ten fakes; this worked-until-lost Dovetail is lifetime guaranteed real. The base is something I want to emphasize, simply great workmanship, great basal grinding--hold the point tip-down, run your thumb across the basal edge, you'll understand--some Early Archaic craftsman spent considerable time getting that grinding exactly right. It shows. the pictures show any and all ancient damage--hopefully they also show the character of the piece. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
