The Celt is 4&1/8" by 2&1/4",and 1&3/8" max thickness; good bit, but work dulled. Cultural history is either Adena or Hopewell Culture (Woodland Period), so as old as 2500BP or as recent as 500--800 common era. Personal opinion, I see the heel as square enough that I expect the piece is Hopewell, but that's strictly my opinion. While pecked to form, one rock (hammerstone) against another (the future Celt), then ground smooth, there was very little polish--even the bit area. This was obviously a work tool, not a "show your friends your skill" made Celt. Chopping trees meant you cooked and your family stayed warm; tools were often just 'everyday' pieces. Every detail is lifetime guaranteed real, period. Checks or M.O.s (or cash) welcomed, however I do not use paypal--Roy A.
