A nice piece of hornstone, this Buck Creek/ Smithsonia Late Archaic-into-Woodland time scape point. The chipping is the percussion work--with some pressure retouch--on the blade edges--very well made, very sharp point--and being that "later" timeperiod, a very sharp basal edge. For their own reasons, basal grinding wasn't ordinarily used. The piece is out of a Tipton County, Indiana, collection, well made and 100% guaranteed real. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
