Not quite to 2&9/16" by 1&1/2", a center thickness of 3/8"--not much doubt the Kaolin Flint blade was considerably longer as first made. Use, wear, what ever you wish to call it, it shows on one basal barb being Early Archaic damaged--the side of the tip, that indentation, it's weathered on the very edge, and that makes me think it's a freeze-thaw pop out, not a farming related break--the dish-out into the body of the point shows a lighter color, it hasn't had that 7500 year of patination, so the pop out happened sometime more recently--not new, just not as ancient. Price reflects the pop out. This Stilwell has some of the heaviest basal edge grinding of any Stilwell I've had in-hand, grinding as strong as a Dovetail would be. Norman Reid found the point, Edwards County, Illinois, displayed it in his homeplace private museum--he marked the piece as being found (by him) in either 1960 or 1966--the last number is hard to read. Guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not take paypal-type services--Roy A.
