Size is slightly under 3&1/8" by a super-wide 2&3/16"--with a thinness that's frankly remarkable: my caliper never goes over 5/15". As I'm taking the first pictures of this Warrick County, Indiana, find the finder had spilled what I think is Carpenter's Wood Glue on one corner--I'll post 'after removal pictures' too--some of the glue I've picked off by hand, the rest should soak off. The history for the small collection will be sent to the next owner, the provenance stays together. The patina is exceptional, mineralized, authentic. One note--the tip isn't damaged, it simply was rounded by the Hopewell (Snyders Culture) user. Too, the one basal corner is a small flat spot--was that the result of use, a small chip, or was it a 'manufacturing mistake' i.e. they just missed on a pressure flake when forming the base--that latter is my thought based on the thinness of the piece. Had there been much 'use', and the corner would have had more extensive 'wear'. Guarantee: send the point to Jerry Dickey, it's guaranteed to receive a COA--his work, his opinion, I trust. Shipping is $10--this piece will be sent packed extra-carefully. Payment: if you can't pay by check, or money order you will not be able to purchase the point--I do not use paypal or its clones--Roy A.
