Indian Creek Chert, Indiana, a Thebes where a fossil--or bit of organic material dissolved, left a natural cavity all the way through the point (1&13/16"). Heavy, heavy basal edge grinding, but hey, it's a Thebes, it SHOULD have heavy grinding. The hole has that 'caliche', calcium from whatever bit of organic was one there--NO signs of drilling, I'll point out. I'm not one to wear a pendant, but this one is a temptation (to wear) at the next artifact show, lol. Best to your families for a great 4th, everyone-- Roy A.
