A Mid Archaic Atl Atl dart point, what Indiana/ Kentucky would call a Brewerton Side Notch. Whether found in Spencer County, Indiana or Daviess County, Kentucky, it wasn't marked by the finder (Owensboro, KY), but at least that gives a pretty good idea of the area where it was found. The flint is a very good grade of Hornstone, almost a KY Blue Flint in color. The last collector had the point displayed on a red background, some tiny spots have adhered to the surface--if you see them, you know what they are--nothing mysterious, and at least they aren't some old yellowed glue that's hard to remove. Length is 1&15" by 1"--5/16" thickness max, no basal grinding as that wasn't how Mid-to-Late atl atl dart users finished-out their dart points. The symmetry of the piece is simply in the top several of these dart points I've ever seen. Impressive ancient flint knapping, guaranteed authentic in every detail. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type services--Roy A.
