Great side notches on this Perry County, Indiana, Early Archaic Big Sandy--basal edge is ground, but not overly heavy, but what a fine side-notching job by the knapper. Length from the somewhat rounded tip to the base is 2&1/16" by 1", with a fraction over 1/4" the thickest measure. One shoulder looks like the hunter/ knapper was working around an inclusion of cortex in the flint--NOT broken, the knapper used what flint he had available in his preform. Nicely patinated, finer knapping in the tip area than you expect until you put it under a 10x loop. One face shows some glue from the way the finder displayed the point, but that'll be easily removed-you see the shine, you'll know what it is. Shipping is $7.00 (cost of a first class package anymore, unfortunately), and I welcome payments by check, cash, or M.O.. Sorry, I do not use paypal-type payment services--Roy A.
