Either a Hornstone or it's "Kentucky equivalent" Hopkinsville Chert (I'd think it's the latter based on color inclusions) from Knox County, south-central Kentucky--close to 1&7/8" by 1&1/16", 1/4" max thickness. In keeping with so many Kirks there is little basal edge dulling in the stem center, but decent grinding on the outer basal corners--you definitely feel good grinding on those outer corners where it was necessary to wrap sinew, you didn't want it cutting through. The blade shows fine, very small serration. There is no apparent damage, and the patina is excellent, every detail being guaranteed authentic. $6.00 shipping, checks or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
