80194--Kaolin Flint Illinois point-creek-found look
Shipping comes with the price on this point out of St. Clair County, S.W. Illinois, area, one deep gold Kaolin Flint stemmed point--a "Kramer Point", Woodland Culture is how I'd classify the piece. Length is right under 2&15/16", slightly shortened as the tip was fashioned into a burin/ button hole making 'punch'. As you'd expect there is no basal edge grinding. Nice patina, and a "special note"--if you find any of the varnish this piece was coated with please understand I soaked it, I used a vegetable brush, an old stiff towel, and finally said "Enough"...so, IF you still find a spot of gloss that shouldn't be there, it's YOUR turn.
