One of the best formed Celts I've seen come out of southern Illinois--Union County, in the case of this 4&7/16" granite Celt : form, bit 'intactness' and grinding (bit area polish), overall shape, the Woodland Culture stoneworker made one fine tool. The only blemish is a use-made surface chip at one corner of the bit--there's not so much as a plow scratch, so this may have been a river bank find, not a field find--unless a piece was found something like a hundred years back, it's going to (usually, but not always) going to have farm implement marks if it's field-found. Good piece, lifetime guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $11 by Priority Mail (due to the weight), with checks or money orders welcomed. Sorry, no paypal on my store--Roy A.
