The cost of shipping this Trigg County, Kentucky, "Spall Knife" is included--$44 is the total price. If the color of the hornstone looks 'kind of bronze', that's what thousands of years in a creekbed will do to grey Hornstone--you can see the 'rind' of limestone cortex that surrounds the higher grade flint, a knife/ tool shattered from a hornstone 'spall'. Length is 4&7/16", the widest measurement is 1&9/16", and max thickness is 5/8". Note the piece has never been washed, you see it as it was found. BOTH faces, while not exactly "uniface" do show deliberately chipped-away thumb holds--hold it left handed (the correct hand) or the 'other one', it'll fit your hand as though it was made for you alone...how'd they do that??? Seriously, though, a tool constructed for users of either hand, that took skill. Note, too, the pointed end was a secondary use as a gouge while the wider end is a chisel blade. One very neat tool. I welcome checks, cash, or money orders, but I'm not a paypal user (or any of its clones)--Roy A.
