A Mississippian Culture "raised center" drill from one of the numerous Mississippian sites that line the Ohio River--Posey County, Indiana, and the "other bank" in Henderson County, Kentucky--the finder didn't leave more history (in his estate). Having hunter so many times on the Ky side of the stream, I have a pretty good 'mental picture' of the area, the things found there--I limit that experience to the Kentucky side as the Indiana side has too many farmers with TOO little patience for field hunters, lol. Length is very slightly under 1&3/4" by 5/16" wide in the center--not quite 1/4" thick, also there in the center. Both ends narrow and thin. Too, there is some (not heavy) use polish on either end of the Hornstone drill. Neat piece, real. Shipping is $8.00 (small box rate at the USPS, unfortunately), and I welcome checks, cash, or money orders. Please note that this store doesn't use paypal-type payment services--Roy A.
