Out of the Mattoon, Illinois Pesch Collection, but made of a fine grade flint that looks more like Sonora, Kentucky, flint than anything that'd be in the east-central Illinois, area. Mr. Pesch placed a catalog number on the Early Archiac point, then covered the writing with a clear nail polish--some letters are legible, others I'm unsure of--without his catalog, though, I can give the provenance I was given, and that's about all--great little 1&1/4" by 15/16", thin (3/16") bifurcate with the up-swept barbs. The basal corners look like they were clipped and ground. The tip, though, does have a tiny chip off the very point. 100% guaranteed authentic, period.
