A Posey County, S.W. Indiana Lost Lake, 2&1/16" by 1&3/16", thick enough in the body (5/16") that the blade was considerably larger before sharpen-and-use cycles reduced the length--stem is heavily ground (as it should be), center notched for hafting the knife. The left blade edges show excellent bevel sharpening. The wear to the very tip is ancient--that one snapped barb may also be ancient--can't be certain it isn't an old, old farming-made chip. The rest of the point shows excellent patina (again), it's real in every detail. The flint is one I've seen before, but West Franklin Chert is the closest identification I've been able to make. One note--the finder marked Mt. Vernon as the find location--not sure if it's written in pencil or ink. Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
