MacCorkles are known for the strong serration, the bifurcated bases, but not many have a needle tip (burin tip) as pronounced as this Daviess County, Kentucky, collection,, Spencer County, Indiana, FOUND Early Archaic bifurcate. The ground base, the barbs, and the tip are intact, highly unusual for a point with that degree of perfection. A friend bought the estate sale piece a few years back, I put it away as a "Maybe some day I'll sell it." Circumstances change, my heart surgeon was 'sorta expensive', lol. Length is slightly over 2&1/16" by 1&1/4", a thin profile at 1/4" max thickness.
