Just when you think you've seen every grade of Hornstone there is, this very hard, fossil-laden Hardin proves you (me) wrong--where it was Early Archaic-quarried is an unknown--great patina, lots of fossils, but the type material didn't have a very wide usage (distribution) or it would be seen in area collections--the Short Base Hardin is out of Daviess County, Kentucky, Owensboro area, measures 3&3/16" by 1&1/16"--base, barbs & tip are intact, and while there is some basal edge grinding it's minor, felt more on the corners than in the base center. 100% guaranteed authentic, period. Shipping is$6.00, checks or M.O.sare welcomed--sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
