79075--Hornstone "Hopewell Core", Indiana
This Hornstone 'Core' , Hopewell Culture is from my S.W. corner of Indiana, made of an excellent grade of our Hoosier Harrison County Hornstone--sort of an oval shape, measures 3&5/16" by 2&3/4", 1&5/8" from the intentionally flat base to the peak of the nodule. A band of limestone cortex runs over the top of the Core. It'd seem the Hopewell user was just getting started removing "Microblades" from each side--the very small collection had a couple of very thin blades, but those could have come from the same Hopewell site--no way to know. The piece is 100% real, period. Shipping, due to the weight, is $8.00, and I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s. Please note I do not use paypal on my store, though--Roy A.
