Out of Allen County, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, area, a very creek stained Thebes point of a light tan chert,1&13/16" by 1&5/16". One feature that defines the piece as a Thebes (not a Kirk Cornernotch) is the center thickness--a full 3/8". Kirks wouldn't build a blade that thickness, but Thebes, blades that typically start off much thicker and longer, that thickness is exactly the 'body' of one of their very early Early Archiac points. The basal edge is well dulled--not heavily ground, but 'dulled' seems the correct description--base shows the lobes Thebes employed. The piece is guaranteed authentic in every detail. Shipping is $7.00 (the new minimum charge for USPS First Class small packages. I welcome checks, cash, or M.O.s, but do not accept paypal-type payment services--Roy Allen
