Out of a creek in either Webster or Union County, Kentucky--the piece, a Dalton base--along with the tip, has been in my collection for about a decade, came from the finder. 3&1/16" by a wide 1&3/16". The lateral edges show decent grinding but the basal edge has little grinding as you get inward from the auricles. I see a spot of glue on the broken tip edge, so at one time the two pieces were glued together. Unfortunately I can't recall if I broke the piece or the finder broke it, but the two pieces fit perfectly. You can see the ancient impact fracture than dulled the tip, and you can feel the work polish where the tip was used as a buffing tool. Authentic piece, the condition (and the patina) obvious. Shipping is the new USPS rate, $7.00--sorry, they raised prices only yesterday. I welcome payments by check, cash, or M.O., but do not use paypal--Roy A.
