Out of the Webster--Union County, Kentucky, creeks, a drill form (modified/ salvaged ) point. The material is the McLean County, KY, form of St. Louis Green chert, creek patinated a greenish-gold, 2&1/4" by 1&1/8", and nearly 7/16" max thickness in the center of the 'wings'. If I'm to take any guess at 'point type' it'd be Turkey Tail--with a flat based stem. I can't tell you someone else would classify the piece exactly the same, that's what opinions are. Note that on the tip the knapper made (or left) a small flat spot, and it shows a LOT of use polish, Great drill, great patina, real. Shipping is $6.00 with checks, cash, or M.O.s welcomed. Sorry, I do not take payments like paypal--Roy A.
