I like listing, writing something about artifacts that are sooooo obvious a two year old could pick out the patination. I have little need to 'defend' this Vanderburgh County (area) hornstone piece. Now--is it a chisel or an adz, or was there a multitude of possible uses. Honestly, both ends look like they were adapted for tasks--the cambered (ridged side) of each face shows work polish. Too, both blade edges are heavily ground smooth--guessing that means the tool was hand-held, the edge grinding was to protect the users' hands. Length is 3&7/16" by 1&7/16"--the max thickness is 1/2". A fine old authentic piece that'd look great in anyone's collection. Shipping is $7.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A,
