A fossil chert, and a high silicate fossil chert at that--glossy, 2&3/8" by 3/4" wide, 3/8" max thickness. The gray-ish chert has crinoid fossils everywhere. Out of Posey County, Indiana, Hopewell Culture in the Lowe--Bakers Creek point style--no basal grinding (as you'd expect). Guaranteed authentic, and guaranteed to be an eye-catcher in a frame.
