Intact, basally ground, well balanced hornstone Dovetail out of Posey County, S.W. Indiana,1&11/16" by 1" exactly. The blade edges are considerably beveled from all the sharpening, indicates the blade was considerably longer right after the Early Archaic Culture knapper made it. Note there is a small (soil filled) crevice in the flint on one face--doesn't look like the finder ever cleaned the piece. Great patina, lifetime guaranteed real.
