I have to think that the village knapper of the various Riverton Culture sites could be identified by his broken-up hands--busted knuckles and scars from working river gravels to make these tiny dart points...may well have only had one eye, too, all the flint chips having taken their toll. Rivertons were localized to , ell, river camps (where they could farm and gather glacial debris to make their tiny points--Jasper being their most commonly used material. Jasper, dried out, was one of the hardest materials to work, so people who knapp tell me--so that explains the description above. Odd, but even when the knapper had good hornstone, etc...to work with they went back to the rock pile for a small, colorful Jasper cobble. Was there something else at work in their lilthic choice, pure speculation after the 2500 years since the culture died out. These fifteen (15) points/ darts come from along the Wabash River, Gibson County, Indiana. THEY ARE REAL. The quarter (not included, lol) shows the size--wish they were all intact, but they're used and lost long past--what they show are the multitude of styles the Rivertons used--some resembling much earlier point styles (cultures). If you need a Riker frame to display them that can be added to the price very reasonably, but it does affect the $6.00 shipping cost (requires a Priority Mail package) and additional packing to protect the glass--$11.00. I welcome checks, cash, or money orders, but please note I do not use paypal--Roy A.--Side note: the quarter was a metal detector find from almost 40 years ago, found under the spreading limbs of a Blue Spruce tree at what I suspect was a road-side inn--stagecoach stop--RAA
