One-eighth of an inch of tip is gone from an Early Archic bit of damage--total length of the hornstone point is 2&1/8"--blade edges are the four-sided quadra-facial sharpening on some of the finest Early Archaic specimens. The basal edge is ground, and note that huge thinning flake on the hafting area--that was a big baton hit by the knapper to thin the base. On the reverse you can see a very light thinning flake. With the narrowing of the blade I would expect the blade was considerably wider as first made. If I had any feature to recommend, check out the on-edge photo, the really fine pressure flakes and serrations of the blade--made by an artisan, not a simple knapper. Every detail is guaranteed authentic. Shipping is $6.00 with checks or M.O>s welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
