A decent Pickwick point off the Cumberland River, Monroe County, Kentucky, very slightly over 2&7/8" per caliper, and the width is just over 1". Max thickness is 3/8". With that sort of thickness I'd expect the piece was both wider and longer before repeated ancient sharpening--that's a strong medial ridge, and when you see how the one (remaining) barb was hooked-in by that sharpen-and-use action, you know the blade started out wider. The base is rounded somewhat like an Adena--if it was dulled for hafting it wasn't by much. The flint is a dull red and gray, striped. The closest chert, found on the website "Kentucky Lithic Materials", is a heat treated Brassfield Chert--dead ringer--that's why the red oxides are so pronounced on the piece.
