The big 3&11/16" by 1&7/16") stemmed point has been in the same box since I bought it from a New Albany, Indiana, area collection some eight years back...never was quite sure what to call it, so it never made it onto my store. The sides of the stem show strong edge grinding, but the basal edge not much grinding--if any. That grinding (or lack of it) should 'time place' the piece to the Mid-to-Late Archaic Periods-- Bentons or Cypress Creek point types, that's the best I can offer as a 'who made it'. The blade isn't beveled, it's the four-sided' quadra-facial sharpening technique. The flint is Jeffersonville Chert, it shows some good banding and quartz inclusions on the stem--sort of like a Geode's center. Patina is excellent, the piece guaranteed authentic. The price includes shipping cost, and payment can be by check or M.O.--sorry, I do not use paypal--Roy A.
