Ex Indian Hill Museum, Norman Reid collection, this side notch(I still call most side-notch points Big Sandys) has the auriculate base of the Graham Cave--strongly indented and strongly ground. Mr. Reid marked the piece as coming from one of his Edwards County, Illinois, sites, 1950 (I think, the last numeral is hard to read). The flint seems to be Elco Flint, the Illinois cousin of Dover Flint. Many, many sharpenings of the blade reduced length to 1&3/4" by 1&3/16"--5/16" max thickness. A chip on one edge from plows left a thin flake scar that shows darker flint against the more bleached-out balance of the blade face--patina that's really easy to read. The piece is guaranteed authentic in all details. Shipping is $5.00, checks or M.O>s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal--RoyA.
