I've had the 'arrow' so many years the provenance is now a guess--either Indiana or Kentucky, though, as I wasn't buying from other states.. This 'oddity', I keep thinking of it as an Etley--a creek-found Etley, the patina doesn't lie. Length is 4&1/16" by 1&7/16"--the max thickness is 1/2" nearer the base (hafting area). The curvature, I can't explain why--same goes for the extensive wear to the chipped edges--impossible to cut something (meat) with extremely dull blades, so the piece had "other" uses, it wasn't a knife--but what??? Likewise, what's the chert? Note--unless you have some case with a very soft, deep backing you're going to find the blade curvature makes this one that won't easily fit in a case--see the on-edge photo if you have a doubt. The piece is absolutely, positively real, but don't ask me "What was it for?"--I have no more clue than you. Shipping is $6.00, checks, cash, or M.O.s welcomed, but please note I do not use paypal--Roy A.
