Barbs on this Lexington, Kentucky, area point are down turned like a Buck Creek, but the stem is more bulbous in the way a Beacon Island would be--the blade is wider than a typical Beacon Island, though, somewhat resembling a Big Slough point. Now, which is it, or does the 2.5x1.25" point show a mix of cultural traditions ,i.e. it's knapper, Late Archaic -into-Woodland era flintworker followed his own path--this, then a 'tweener"? Most point types, they're clearly this--or that, but here is one you find multiple elements--and great patina, so you know the piece is real. You learn more from studying a 'hard to define' than the most 'cookie-cutter' points--neat, authentic point. On note--the tip has use polish, it isn't a simple nick, it had a secondary use. Shipping comes with the price, nothing additional to the list price, and checks, cash, or M.O.s are welcomed. Sorry, I do not use paypal on my store--Roy A.
